Student Case StudyKate Bainbridge studied at the Academy, City & Guilds Level 5 in 2012 and is now a British Master. Kate owns and runs a beautiful flower shop called: Simply Flowers in Bovey Tracey here in Devon where she offers the full range of floral designs for life’s events,

Kate is no stranger to competitions which she finds exhilarating, and to date she has won a Bronze, Silver Gilt and Gold medal at RHS Chelsea and is hoping to add to this amazing collection. Here is a picture of her gorgeous gold winning chandelier in 2012.

“I opted to study for my Level 5 – British Masters at the Academy of Floral Art, and wow what a journey! I decided to take Level 5 as I had had a break from study to open Simply Flowers in Bovey Tracey, but I like to always push myself further and this seemed like the perfect choice, the support I received from Julie & Tina during the course was amazing, and I learnt so much. The course gave me the confidence to take on more competition work, and to showcase a Floral Art side to my business.

I have been lucky enough to travel to Belgium with the academy and will be travelling to the USA to assist them with their floral showcase. I have been lucky enough to receive a scholarship to attend the symposium in Anaheim something I wouldn’t have the confidence to do before.
I can’t recommend the Academy highly enough.”
