Last Wednesday the British Academy of Floral Art were proud to be invited along to the Guild Hall Exeter to receive an award presented by The Lord Mayor, Cllr Rob Hannaford for being part of a team who achieved the prestigious Silver-Gilt, RHS Britain in Bloom South West Tourism Cup.

The team who helped achieved the award: Exeter City Council, University of Exeter, Students and teachers of British Academy of Floral Art, Devon Wildlife Trust, Princesshay, Devon Place Orchard Regeneration Project, Stoke Hill Infants & Nursery School and The Imperial.

So, what started as an idea last January to take part in the Chelsea Fringe event and decorate the Exeter shops with floral designs, grew into this award.

A big thank you to all the students and helpers who took part to make this event happen, this award is for you.
