The UK may have shut down again but here at the academy we are as busy as ever with lots fun and exciting things planned for you all!
Due to the latest Coronavirus announcement we have decided it’s best to postpone our courses for the safety and wellbeing of our students. The courses that were supposed to be taking place this month have been moved into December and January (if your course has been affected but you have not been notified of the new dates then please get in contact). We hope you all stay safe during this time and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the classrooms! In the meantime, we will continue to go live on Facebook every Wednesday at 3pm for our ‘Floral Sparkle’! Make sure you’re there for all the latest updates and to find out how you can get creative during the next few weeks.
We have recently announced our new competition ‘Star Quality’, where we are challenging everyone of all abilities to design and create their own star! The deadline for all the entries is the 25th November, if you’d like to get involved and have a go then make sure you upload photos of your creation on Facebook or Instagram and tag @britishacademyoffloralart. So to encourage everyone to have some fun we won’t be judging the stars, we will be picking 4 lucky names from a hat on the 25th and the winners will receive a £50 voucher to spend at the Academy! So if you’re up for a bit of fun this lockdown and want to get involved with the floristry community head over to our social media now.
There’s a lot of exciting things coming up at the Academy very soon so keep an eye on our social media for updates! In the upcoming weeks we will be releasing our charity for this year’s Christmas fundraiser (watch our live weekly Floral Sparkles to catch the announcement). We’ve had lots of amazing charity suggestions come in this year and we’re hoping to raise a lot of money for the lovely organisation we have selected. In addition to this we are running Christmas workshops this December where we will be teaching you how to make wreaths and table arrangements so if this is something you’re interested in then make sure you come along!
