Next Weeks Re-opening Plan

With the government’s lockdown exit strategy being announced next week we have started to think about our reopening plan. Once we have more information on the relaxing of restrictions we will be getting in contact with all of our students who are currently booked on courses. We will hopefully have a clear reopening plan by the end of next week and we’re so excited to be able to get our students back in for a wonderful summer of floristry.

Our new online courses will continue to run and we highly recommend them to anyone who is wanting to continue their learning throughout this time. We’re currently offering online Heart of Design, Business, Level 2 and Level 1 virtual courses (for more information head over to our website page).

Student Work

We love to see our student’s amazing creations and we urge them to share their designs with us on social media. We have still been able to be creative during lockdown, our students have produced wonderful pieces of work and here are a few we have already seen this year!

This stunning design was created by our level four student Violette Veikniene.

This beautiful symmetric design was completed by Emily Bird as part of our level one online.

Pamela Wittcomb completed this lovely heart for the level three funeral unit .

Stephanie Lawrence has just finished the online level two and shared this fab hand-tied with us. .

As gardening season is coming up we thought we would ask one of our tutors to share some tips on planting and growing flowers throughout the upcoming weeks. Horticultural expert and our Cutting Garden tutor Olly Forster will be filming short videos to inspire you all to start growing your own wonderful flowers! Follow us on our Facebook channel to keep updated.

Olly Forster at the Academy Garden last summer, we are looking forward to get back and get working on it again.

We can’t wait to see what comes through this spring and if you see some flowers sprouting either out on a walk or in your own garden we would love for you to share some photos with us!

These photos were shared by our level three student Adela-Aurora Onetea whilst out on her walk….lovely!

Keep an eye out for our Floral Sparkle this week live on Facebook at 3pm on Wednesday, where Julie will be making a Floral Gift Tag and updating you on our opening plans.

Keep safe and well and we look forward to seeing you soon.
